Why furniture importers and exporters pick DNE

Logistics built for furniture importers and exporters.

Furniture is a high-mix, oversize, easy-to-damage cargo class with awkward HS-classification edges. A single inbound container can carry MDF panels, hardware, hinges, finished cabinetry and packaging — across four different HS chapters. DNE handles inbound LCL/FCL from Foshan, Yiwu, Qingdao for Malaysian furniture studios, renovation contractors, exotic-hardwood flooring importers, and DBA-branded showroom operators across Klang Valley, Johor Bahru and Penang.

01 / Mixed-HS K1

One container, four chapters, one clean K1

We classify and clear mixed-HS furniture FCLs correctly: solid wood (HS 4407), wood products (HS 4418), hardware (HS 8302), gypsum and finishes (HS 6809), and finished furniture (HS 9403). One K1, no chapter splits, no manual inspection.

02 / LCL consolidation at origin

Buy from many suppliers, ship as one

Foshan and Yiwu workshops often each sell a small portion of a final cabinet. We coordinate purchase-order consolidation at origin, single-bill-of-lading shipping, and one-K1 clearance — instead of paying LCL rates on 6 separate small shipments.

03 / Care-aware haulage

Premium panels stay premium

KA-licensed haulage with care-handling protocols — no rough cornering on edge-fragile finished panels, palletisation that survives transit, and stable delivery scheduling to your installer site or showroom warehouse.

How we work

The cost of getting it wrong.

Classic furniture-importer pain: your FCL from Foshan arrives, the previous forwarder put everything under chapter 9403 generic, JKDM flags the inconsistency between BL line items and the K1, container goes to manual inspection, your installer client is waiting on cabinetry, the renovation slips 2 weeks. We've fixed this often enough to make the SOP routine.

The way DNE runs it: DNE's furniture workflow: PO list + commercial invoice line items reviewed pre-arrival → multi-chapter HS classification (one K1, not split) → CITES check on exotic hardwoods (Merbau, Sonokeling) → KA-haulage routed to your warehouse, showroom or JB installer site → care-handled delivery.

Frequently asked

Questions we hear most.

Do you do LCL consolidation at origin (Foshan, Yiwu)?

Yes. We coordinate with a network of consolidation warehouses in Foshan, Yiwu and Shenzhen to receive small POs from multiple suppliers, consolidate into one FCL or LCL shipment, and ship under a single bill of lading. This saves 20-40% versus paying LCL rates on individual small shipments.

How do you handle exotic hardwoods like Merbau, Teak and Sonokeling?

These species are CITES-adjacent or subject to MAQIS DOA controls depending on country of origin. We pre-verify documentation (Certificate of Origin, legality declarations under SVLK for Indonesian timber), file K1 under the correct sub-heading of HS 4407 / 4409, and coordinate any necessary phytosanitary documents.

Can you handle oversized panels and fragile finished furniture?

Yes. For oversized cabinetry, marble slabs, glass-fronted units and similarly fragile finished goods, we use flatrack containers where required, palletisation appropriate to the cargo type, and care-aware haulage drivers. Damage during transit is rare and covered under transit insurance we can arrange.

Do you support furniture exporters from Malaysia?

Yes. Malaysian furniture exporters under the K2 export flow with EUR1 / FTA preferential certificates. We handle export documentation for the US, EU, AU and Middle East markets, including the GMS Sustainable Forest Management certification where importers require it.

Do you cover Johor Bahru and Penang showroom destinations, not just Klang Valley?

Yes. KA-licensed haulage routes from Port Klang to Johor Bahru, Melaka, Penang and Kuantan. For JB-based renovation studios and showroom operators, Klang-to-JB is a standard daily route with overnight delivery available for urgent jobs.
