DG-aware customs clearance for Malaysian industrial and specialty chemical importers. MSDS-aware K1 on HS chapters 28-38, IMDG class handling, and DG-rated container haulage from Port Klang. Same-day WhatsApp quote.
Chemicals don't forgive paperwork mistakes. A misclassified HS code on a UN-numbered shipment can mean a 2-week port hold, MSDS rework, JKDM scrutiny, and very real demurrage. DNE is JKDM-licensed and has handled DG-class inbound for industrial chemicals, water-treatment chemicals, plating chemicals, fertilizers and personal-care raw materials out of Port Klang for 25 years — from MSDS review through DG-rated haulage to your plant.
We classify DG inbound under HS chapters 28 (inorganic chemicals), 29 (organics), 31 (fertilisers), 32 (paints/dyes), 38 (miscellaneous chemicals) correctly the first time. UN number, packing group and proper shipping name on the K1 — not boilerplate.
Our KA-licensed DG-rated trailers carry the right placards, ADR equivalents, spill kits and driver certifications. From Port Klang to your warehouse or production facility — handled in-house, not subcontracted.
Indicative origin lanes, primary commodity types, typical freight mode, transit days and HS chapter groupings. Rates are May 2026 directional references; specific quotes WhatsApp-fast within 5 minutes.
| Lane (origin → Port Klang unless noted) | Primary commodities | Typical mode | Transit | HS chapters | Indicative rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| China / India (industrial) | Bulk chemicals, solvents, intermediates | Sea FCL (ISO tanks + drums) | 10-14d sea | 28, 29, 32, 38 | USD 1,400-1,800 (FCL) |
| EU / Middle East | Fertilizers, ammonia, specialty chemicals | Sea FCL / breakbulk | 18-25d sea | 31 (esp. 3105, 2814) | USD 2,200-2,800 (FCL) |

The classic chemicals-importer pain: your inbound FCL of plating chemicals arrives, your previous forwarder filed it under a generic chapter, JKDM flags it for full physical inspection, the container sits at Westport for 8 days while you scramble for the MSDS the supplier never sent the right version of. RM 1,600 in demurrage. Production halted. Customer order missed.
The way DNE runs it: DNE's chemicals workflow: full MSDS review at pre-arrival → correct HS classification with UN number + packing group → confirmation that any required DOE / SIRIM / NPRA permit is already in hand → K1 filed within 4 hours of doc receipt → DG-rated haulage scheduled with appropriate driver certifications → port-to-plant in 24-48 hours.
Yes. Classes 1 (explosives) through 9 (miscellaneous), including ammonia (Class 2.3), flammable liquids (Class 3), corrosives (Class 8), oxidizers (Class 5.1), peroxides (Class 5.2), and lithium-ion (Class 9 UN 3480/3481). For Class 1 explosives, additional NRRD permits apply, obtained by you or your supplier before the shipment ships — we flag the requirement during MSDS review so it doesn't hold up the K1.
Scheduled Wastes (First Schedule, Environmental Quality Act 1974) require a DOE notification and SW transport manifest, and certain controlled substances need Pesticides Board, NPRA or SIRIM approval. These are arranged directly between you (or your supplier) and the relevant agency — we don't apply for them. We flag the requirement during MSDS review so the approval is confirmed in hand before the K1 is filed, not after.
With complete MSDS and a clean HS classification, JKDM clears DG-class chemicals within 24-48 hours of K1 filing. The variable is MSDS completeness — we review your MSDS pre-arrival to flag missing UN numbers, packing groups or shipping names so the K1 doesn't go back to revision.
Yes. Our KA-licensed fleet includes DG-certified drivers and DG-rated tractor-trailer units. We carry the appropriate ADR-equivalent placards, spill response kits, and route plans to avoid restricted urban zones (Federal Highway midnight curfew, KL CBD restrictions).
Yes. ISO tank inbound (T11, T14, T22) for bulk liquids — solvents, mineral acids, caustics, glycols. We coordinate cleaning, return logistics and depot positioning. For breakbulk drums / IBCs we handle palletisation, lashing inspection, and final delivery via DG-rated haulage.
