Working with DNE Forwarding follows four steps: quote, book, clear, deliver. Because the same Port Klang team arranges the freight, lodges the customs declaration and hauls the container, there are no handoffs between separate companies — and you get one point of contact and one report on where your cargo is.

The four steps

  • 1. Quote — we price freight, clearance and haulage as one landed cost.
  • 2. Book — we reserve the vessel or flight and prepare the documents.
  • 3. Clear — we lodge the customs declaration and handle duty, SST and permits.
  • 4. Deliver — our own fleet hauls the container to your door.

How do you get a quote?

Send us the basics — commodity, origin and destination, and container type or volume. We confirm the HS code, the duty and SST, any permit required, and the freight and haulage, then return one landed cost rather than a freight rate with surprises attached. The numbers behind a quote are explained in shipping and customs costs.

What happens once you book?

We reserve space on the right sailing or flight and prepare the shipping documents — commercial invoice checks, packing list, and the bill of lading or air waybill. Your Incoterm decides which of these the supplier handles and which we do, so we confirm it up front to avoid duplicated cost.

How does DNE clear your goods?

As a JKDM-licensed agent connected to the SMK system, we classify the goods, lodge the declaration, calculate and settle duty and SST, and manage any permit from MITI, SIRIM or MAQIS. Clean, consistent documents keep the shipment in the fast lane. The full sequence is in customs clearance.

How does delivery work?

Once customs releases the box, our KA-licensed fleet collects it from Westports or Northport and delivers it to your premises, then returns the empty on time so detention never starts. Because the same team cleared it, the truck is ready the moment the goods are released — see container haulage.

Why does one operator for all three steps matter?

Reliability across customs, infrastructure and timeliness is exactly what the World Bank's Logistics Performance Index measures — and it is hard to deliver when three different companies own three different steps. With DNE, the forwarder, the customs agent and the haulier are the same team, so a delay in one step doesn't become a finger-pointing exercise while charges mount, and information moves in one direction instead of being relayed between three companies. That single-operator model is also what keeps DNE's documentation compliance above 99% — because the team that books the freight is the team that lodges the declaration and returns the empty.
