Reefer-capable, KA-licensed container haulage for Malaysian frozen meat, seafood and ambient F&B distributors. VHM, DOA and halal cert verification, and fast clearance to your cold room once MAQIS requirements are met. Same-day WhatsApp quote.
Frozen and chilled food doesn't pause for paperwork. Every hour your container sits at the port without power is shelf life burned and saleability lost. DNE has been moving reefer containers for Malaysian frozen meat importers, seafood distributors and ambient F&B wholesalers out of Port Klang since 1999 — with reefer-capable haulage, VHM/DOA document verification, and clearance discipline that gets your cold chain home before it breaks.
Our KA-licensed haulage fleet includes reefer plug-in capable units and tractors trained on temperature-monitored cargo. We don't let your container sit unpowered between vessel discharge and your cold room.
On clean documentation our average reefer FCL is from vessel discharge to your distribution centre in under 24 hours. We pre-clear K1 the moment the vessel berths, not after the box is on the ground.
Indicative origin lanes, primary commodity types, typical freight mode, transit days and HS chapter groupings — the planning inputs that hold steady from season to season.
We don’t publish a rate column here, and that is deliberate. Ocean freight moves week to week, and a number printed on a web page is wrong long before anyone deletes it. The public reference points, as of September 2026: Drewry's World Container Index sat at USD 4,465 per 40ft on 3 September 2026, and Drewry's Intra-Asia Container Index rose 9% that same week to USD 1,312 per 40ft — its fifth consecutive weekly rise, on typhoon-related capacity loss. Both are dry-box composites, so treat them as direction of travel rather than a reefer quote: reefer carries its own equipment and plug-in costs on top and does not track them line for line. For your actual lane and week, WhatsApp us and you will have a real number within 5 minutes.

The recurring food-distributor disaster: reefer container arrives, customs paperwork was rushed, K1 needs VHM clarification, the container sits 2 days at Westport unpowered, the entire 27-tonne load is now flagged for temperature audit, and your insurance claim takes 4 months. We've rescued enough of these to build the SOPs that prevent them.
The way DNE runs it: DNE's food workflow: VHM/DOA/halal cert verified pre-arrival → K1 pre-staged with HS-chapter-correct classification → reefer-capable haulage scheduled to meet vessel discharge → continuous cold chain monitoring → port-to-cold-room in under 24 hours target.
Two things decide whether that runs clean, and both are settled before the vessel sails: the agency side and the halal side. Our guides to importing food into Malaysia — MAQIS, permits and labelling and halal logistics under MS 2400 set out what has to be in hand and which agency issues it. We flag what your cargo needs during document review; the permits themselves are applied for and obtained by you or your supplier.
Yes. Our reefer-capable haulage units plug in to the container's refrigeration unit immediately on discharge — there's no unpowered window between vessel and your DC. For sensitive product (e.g. -25°C frozen seafood) we monitor temperature in transit and document chain-of-custody for your insurance file.
Yes, if it's meat, poultry or scheduled plant material. VHM (Veterinary Department) and DOA Scheduled Plant Material permits are obtained by you or your supplier before the vessel arrives — we don't file or process these on your behalf. We verify VHM, DOA and halal certification are in hand during pre-arrival document review, cross-checking the certifier against JAKIM's list of recognised foreign halal certification bodies (as at 30 January 2026) for halal-positioned product, then file the K1 the moment your reefer container discharges. Worth knowing on the food lanes: Indonesia's recognised body on that list is now BPJPH, not MUI; Singapore is MUIS; Australia includes AHAA, SICHMA and the Islamic Coordinating Council of Victoria.
On complete documentation our target is under 24 hours from vessel discharge to your cold room. The lever is pre-arrival documentation: if VHM, halal cert and HS classification are confirmed before the vessel berths, K1 is filed the moment it lands and haulage is positioned to meet discharge.
Yes. We move ambient-temperature F&B — packaged snacks, beverages, baking ingredients, canned goods, dry confectionery — under standard FCL with the same JKDM K1 discipline. HS chapters 19 (cereals), 20 (preserves), 21 (misc edible) and 22 (beverages) we handle daily.
Peak-season slots are a known constraint. We pre-book reefer plug-in slots, prioritise our VIP fleet for time-sensitive food clients, and stage clearance documents weeks ahead. Food distributors who plan their CNY/Hari Raya inbound with us 3-4 weeks in advance ride through peak without ad-hoc demurrage.
